There is an awkward silence for a few minutes, then I nervously climb onto the stage carrying a coil of hemp rope. I blush as I approach the great escape artist and ask her to turn so that her back is towards me. I uncoil the rope, which turns out to be about twenty feet in length. I double to the rope, find the middle point, keep this in one hand. I gently move Felina's arms behind her back, pressing her elbows together. Holding the loop in the middle of the rope I wind it around her arms, then feed it through the loop, pulling rope through until I can pull it tight and there are two strands of rope around Felina's arms just above her elbows. I am not surprised that her elbows touch easily, the flexibility of her body is legendary.

My hands are shaking a bit, but audience members are beginning to shout encouragement and I press on. I pull the first loop as tight as I can, it must be uncomfortable but she keeps smiling. I carefully wind the double rope around her arms half a dozen times, making sure there is no slack, before feeding the ends through the original mid point loop again and pulling tight. I seperate the two strands of rope and wind them in opposite directions between her elbows, tightening each time, then knot them together.

I feed both both strands of rope under one of Felina's armpits, across the back of her neck, then down under the other arm and back to the ropes cinching her elbows together. I wind the ropes between her elbows again a couple of times then take the ends up to the ropes behind her neck. I tuck one of the strands under the neck ropes and knot it to the other, using up the last few inches of rope by tying knot after knot.

I check that everything is tight, then bow to the audience and return to my seat, where I eagerly await the placing of the next restraint on Felina's body.

I'm all for letting the brave lady be suspended by ropes or chains in whatever way some spectator would see fit - except by her neck or her breasts of course - though I won't do that part myself. If needed, we'll pull out a thick trampolene mat under her.

This scene is looking very promising indeed.
