I have had the very unexpected arrival of a step daughter arrive home from her part time job while she was still living with us. I'm dying here! Same thing happened with my highschooler. Altho we had the door locked and our usual do not disturb sign, he had early dismissal from school. He could still hear sounds and knocked on the door. Dad said 'not now!'

Later on when he looked at me funny I told him Mom was getting sensory motor therapy! He knows what that is, an occupational therapy technique for sensory motor dysfuntion!
