Scottish Word: Rank, Rank Rotten Meaning : Smells or tastes bad

That's pure rank so it is./This Guinness tastes like weasel piss that's six months past its sell by date - get another round in.

Right - Last night I had a really ice time with someone online. It was not what you are all thinking you mucky pups.

I was chatting to a sub I respect and hold in high esteem and she was feeling a bit 'low'. To my surprise and flattery, she asked to curl up at my feet. (Yeah, yeah, I know it is online but it seemed so personal to the two of us, I hope she felt it to). I allowed her and was proud to do so. She explained she was feeling 'emotional' and so I guess she just needed someone to be there. We did not say much but I was loath to leave when I had to.

It got me to thinking it has been a while since I had an intimate moment like that, not since I last had a sub. I kinda miss that one to one thing where nothing is expected. It is just nice to know there is someone on the end of the other keyboard.

It got me thinking that to me there is a lot more to D/s than the tie me up, beat me and stick various things in various orifices that people sometimes assume BDSM is. It is well to remember that taking a sub brings with it a responsibility of care to a greater or lesser extent and that it is not only a physical thing we do often but more a mental thing.

As the saying goes 'the best things in life are free' and it doesn't cost much to once in a while just be there to metaphorically hold a hand or give a hug.
