Recently I have essentially been called a slut by a couple of people who don't really know me and made some pretty serious assumptions. Because of that it doesn't bother me too much, but thinking about it has raised some questions for me.

Both said that I play around with a lot of people in chat. I most often play with friends who I have met on the site. I'm here to gain experience and meet friends. I am not looking for an online relationship, and I do not have a rl one, so my opinion is, why not have some (not so) innocent fun amongst friends? Once in a while I do play with random people, but only in two contexts:
1) It is within the context of what has been happening in chat (ie. getting payback for trying to trap doms).
2) The friend I am playing with invites others in the room to join us. In this case, I still feel that I am primarily playing with one person, but that's just my opinion.

This leads me to my first thought/question about this scenario. What if I had a dom/me, and they were the ones who encouraged and suggested this behaviour. Would those people still consider me a slut if I was acting with the permission of someone else? (For the purpose of my question, I'm going to assume that I wouldn't be considered a slut in this case.) But with both cases, at the base level, it is my decision to act in that manner. If I truly objected, the dom/me wouldn't make me do it. Since both cases come down to my choice, why is it that one would make me a slut, and the other a good submissive? I honestly don't understand the double standard that (I'm assuming) is in play here.

And now for the rant portion of this posting. It is related to the above question. The people I'm going to be ranting about again don't bother me too much, but I keep coming across this type and it can be frustrating. I'm talking about the doms who:

• 1) Talk to me once
  2) Never truly get past the bdsm questions to ask me about myself
  3) Never ask if they can be dominant towards me.
  4) Assume that they can order me around (ie. restrict who I talk to)
  5) When I call them on this bogus assumption are shocked and end up insulting me (and that's how it ties into the previous question).

OK, I'm done ranting about that. I know I'm not the only one who has to deal with this, so I'll stop now.
