    Pierced nipples

I'm thinking about getting my nipples pierced and am doing some research. Do you have pierced nipples? How long have you had them? How long did it take to heal? Would you do it all over again if given the chance? Did it hurt worse or less than you had expected? What should I beware of when looking for a piercer?

    Thanks!

I want a man lying over me, always over me. His will, his pleasure, his desire, his life, his work, his sexuality the touchstone, the command, my pivot. I don’t mind working, holding my ground intellectually, artistically; but as a woman, oh, God, as a woman I want to be dominated. I don’t mind being told to stand on my own feet, not to cling, be all that I am capable of doing, but I am going to be pursued, fucked, possessed by the will of a male at his time, his bidding.”

uhm, although i haven't got pierced nipples, i've got other piercings so i can at least help out with the last part of your question: go someplace safe and clean! i cannot stress that enough, you don't want a dirty dude with a needle coming anywhere near you.

keep in mind the following: Standards for body piercers

Body piercers must have adequate knowledge on how and where to pierce. They must also have adequate knowledge on infection control techniques and minimum hygiene standards. The following recommendations will help to achieve these standards.
    Premises

    * All skin penetration premises must be registered with the local council. The register is to be made available for public viewing.
    * The premises must be in a clean and hygienic condition at all times.
    * A hand basin with hot and cold running water is required in the premises and is recommended to be in the treatment area.
    * Soap or other hand cleaning substance is required to be at the hand basin.
    * Paper towel or other single use hand drying equipment is required to be at the hand basin.
    * The construction of the premises should meet with local council requirements.
    * The finish on all surfaces within the piercing area should be made of materials that are easily cleaned.
    * Fittings in the piercing area such asbenches should be cleaned between each client and/ or a clean covering placed over the treatment surface.
    * Adequate lighting is recommended.

    Personal Hygiene

    * Body piercers must wash their hands before and after attending a client.
    * A clean gown or apron must be worn during a body piercing procedure.
    * If a body piercer has a cut or open wound on their hands or fingers especially, they must cover it with a waterproof dressing.
    * When carrying out a piercing, single use gloves must be worn.

    Equipment

    * Body piercers must wash their hands before and after attending a client.
    * A clean gown or apron must be worn during a body piercing procedure. [now ok, for this one, i'm not putting my foot down, but you should get the full list of things to look/ask for so i'm including it *smiles*]
    * If a body piercer has a cut or open wound on their hands or fingers especially, they must cover it with a waterproof dressing.
    * When carrying out a piercing, single use gloves must be worn.

    Procedures

    * Although not a legal requirement a person under the age of 18 years should not receive a body piercing unless parental or guardian approval is provided.
    * Body piercers should have adequate knowledge on how and where to pierce. First aid knowledge is also recommended.
    * All necessary equipment should be set up just prior to the piercing.
    * The skin to be pierced should be cleaned with a skin antiseptic.
    * All equipment that penetrates the skin must be sterilised .
    * Sterile packaging should only be opened when ready to perform piercing.
    * Only sterile jewellery is to be inserted into the opening. Some jewellery can not be sterilised, check compatibility.
    * Contact with sterile equipment should not occur unless sterile gloves are worn. Single use gloves are not sterile unless specified.

    After Treatment

    * Single use gloves should be disposed of immediately after the procedure.
    * All equipment should be cleaned after a procedure.
    * Single use equipment must be disposed of after use.
    * Single use sharps must be disposed of into a sharps container.
    * Re-useable sharps must be sterilised before reuse.
    * Details of the sterilisation process must be recorded.
    * All waste should be bagged appropriately and disposed daily. It is illegal for sharps or other clinical waste to be disposed of in the general waste stream.
    * After care instruction should be provided to the client on cleaning the site and jewellery, infections and what to look for, and healing times.
    * There should be no exchange of jewellery once inserted into an opening.
"Please, Sir, can I have some more?"

I think there is a recent thread about this around here somewhere. My short answers. It hurt to do, yes. But not crazy bad. It hurt for a while (few weeks) afterward. Sometimes a good hurt! It took me a long time to completely heal, more than a year. And by heal I mean so you can pull on them with no pain from the piercing. I did feel some loss of sensation, so this is the big tradeoff you might have to think about. Of course I love the way they look.

    Good luck.

I just got my nipples pierced two weeks ago! It was no big deal. A quick slightly sharp pinch and it was done. A little throbbing and ache afterwards, but nothing more than you get with a good clamping. And you get something long-term out of the pain as well. *smiles* new toys!

I had been thinking about it for a long time. Now that it is done, I think the anticipation of how much it was going to hurt was much greater than the reality for me. And of course you have the adrenaline and endorhpins to help you through.

One helpful is to wear a tight t-shirt or sports bra for the first few days afterwards. The added pressure on the nipples is soothing and minimizes the ache a bit.

They are fun too.. soooo sensitive now! *giggles*

I used to have one on my left nipple - but unfortunately it started to grow out and it became to dangerous to keep it in but I miss it dearly. If I weren't so concerned about what another piercing would be do my ability to breastfeed one day, I would do it again any day.

It hurt considerably less than I thought it would. (But I did do it with anesthetic). And the slight soreness after it rubbed off was rather pleasant actually. I loved those first few days.

I want it back dearly... but well, maybe some day.
Some say the world will end in fire,
    Some say in ice.
From what I've tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To say that for destruction ice
    Is also great
    And would suffice.

Both of my nipples are pierced. The first jewelry was 14 gauge, then over several stretchings I got up 2 gauge. The larger jewelry was uncomfortable when sleeping or when a seatbelt crossed my chest. I am now back to 14 gauge barbells. This all started about 1995, and yes, I'd do it again. Each stretching was sorta like a new piercing, anyway. Both nipples are tattooed, also. Yes, the actual nipples, not just the area around them. What a rush to tattoo those nips!

I got both of mine pierced about 10 years ago. The left healed up in a couple of months but the right took over a year to heal and if any play up its always that one. The positive is that master loves to play with the rings and hang things from them and its such fun when he just teases me with them

Try to get a good recommendation for a piercer too. It makes you feel a little better going in.

A good piercer will look at you and make recommendations too... what size and type for your breasts.

I started with bars, 12g. Due to large breast size she thought that would be best for the piercing to stay and not migrate. I kept the bars in for quite some time then moved on to horseshoe type bars. LOVE THEM, they are easier to clean and seem to keep my nipples happy without going through some OUCH periods. They also do not get stuck on as many things by accident.

ive always wanted my nipples pierced so i went to my regular piercer (cos i have like a million piercings) and was all like pierce my nipples! Now! but then he was like are u sure u wanna do it? hes a good mate of mine and so he pulled out the nipple piercings gone bad photos and it completely put me off getting it done. It wasnt about the pain or anything im just terrifed for it getting infected. So if ur gonna go ahead make sure u keep it clean and dry and make sure the place u get it done is top notch and also that ur comfortable with ur piercer. I dont see anyone else but my regular guy so im happy with him but ask to see a portfolio of his or her work to make sure they know what they are doing.
And I love to hear you say it, Louis. I need to hear you say it. I don't think anyone will ever say it quite like you do. Come on, say it again. I'm a perfect devil. Tell me how bad I am. It makes me feel so good! - The Vampire Lestat

I have had pierced nipples for over a year, and here is all the information I have to give.
    1) It took about 6 weeks to heal enough that they could be played with or sucked on, but that changes depending on how sensitive you are and if you take care of them.
2)I would do it all over again. Apparently, in speaking with my piercer, one of two things happens. Either you get less sensitive or more sensitive. I got more, so it was a good thing for me.
3)It hurt a lot less than I would have guessed for being such a sensitive area. It actually hurt less than donating blood.
    4) As far a piercers go, I actually had a friend who was an experienced piercer do mine.

I had both mine pierced at one point and both of them migrated... My body doesn't take well to piercings I guess, I can't even get my ears pierced, they always get infected!

However, I would recommend spending the extra few bucks and getting pierced with Titanium as opposed to surgical steel- it's hypo-allergenic and there's less chance of infection (unless you're like me!)

    Good luck!

i have had both of my nipples pierced both of my ears pierced and i have had my labia pierced with 4 rings but im afraid 2 say that both of my nipples and ear and 2 of my labia rings fell out so i only have 2 rings left on my labia i think that my body rejected them even though my XMaster/partner always made sure that all the body parts were clean they still fell out and i had them all done on the same day one after the other so i didnt have much time to think of the pain and if my next Master/partner asks me do you want them done again i would be saying yes please 2 my next Master/partner

I have had both my nipples pierced now for over ten years
and I have to say it is great!
They are way more sensitive now and much bigger than the
pimples they were when I did them.
Its a shame some people have bad experiences with this
because I love mine and would shout GO FOR IT!
    to anyone asking,
yes they take a while to settle down
but keep them from healing up and they enhance sex like a brand new toy.
