In need of guidance...

Hi; I'm really new to BDSM (I just recently figured out that I was interested, though I think it's been in my subconscious for a while before that), and I'm trying to figure out how to get started. I'm wondering what sorts of things are around (I'm currently in Massachusetts) and what's online. I guess I just feel a little in over my head; there's so much out there, and I don't have a clue of where to even begin. Any advice you could give is appreciated; I've been looking at a lot of the forums, so I'm all right with definitions and such, but it's more an application-thing that I'm clueless about.

Hi, and welcome to the forums!

My best advice to you would be to read! Just read and read and read, and bear in mind that a lot of the stories on here and other sites are fiction, or exageratred accounts of the truth. Then read summore.

Forums, stories, how to guides. Anything you can find.

Work out what turns you on, what limits you have, anything that's a complete definite hard no.

And then just keep reading.

and see if you can find a local "munch" or "kink society" where you can meet like minded people, talk, and see what it is all about. Should be able to find something by googling it, or in yahoo groups. Or someone here might know of one.
