Pain

i walk into the room so dark feeling very cold,
My heart filled with pain my body feeling old.
In the shadows i hear something my ears did not want to hear,
the hurt and pain of my sweet pea whimpering full of fear.

I go to her and hold her close to make her understand,
i may be hurt but i am not lost as i take and kiss her hand.
Sometimes words have more meaning then we really want to hear,
and we take them in a way not meant sometimes totally out of fear.

Sometimes we say things as well not meaning to hurt one another,
but sometimes words misunderstood can cause hurt that can smother.

At times we truly don't know what things mean or the life we lead,
and because of this words can cause misunderstanding and hurt to feed.

We were both wrong my little sweet pea, don't ever think it was just you,
You said something as a joke, and i got hurt and took wings and flew.

Not to far away from you as you see that i just could not do,
but far enough that both of us learnt a lesson between me and you.

A lesson that no matter what is said between people like me and you,

A friendship does not die.. it will always stay true.

Hugs you close and rocks you gentle it is all OK,
and once more very soon we will surely play.

we both have hurt we both have learned
and now we can heal and start to move on

take what we've learned, the valued lessons
let the pain heal and happy memories come in
and wait for all the new fun that will come again
