Many writers use paragraphing and spacing as part of a writing style, and the method you suggest to 'reduce space' may interefere with their intent.

If you are using Word 2000, your computer may have a CD burner as part of its features. CD's are quite inexpensive, and you could store the entire bdsmlibrary contents on a handful of cds. If you don't have one, I suggest seeing what Best Buy or some other electronics store in your area has in its clearance section - I picked up an 8x Iomega Zip CD-RW for a mere $50 CDN ... It works just the same as the newer expensive models, it just takes a minute or two longer.
I have a cdr and I do use them.

Or, You could use WinZip to compress the files and store them on floppy disks.

Or, if you are determined to print the stories out, use a 9 or 10 point Times or some other serif font - easier to read than a sans serif font - print on both sides of the paper, and eliminate the spaces between paragraphs where it is obviously not part of the writing style.

But my printer is very tempermental, mostly mental.
even when I print out a small file 40 to 50 pages it likes to jam "grabbing clumps of paper at a time. Yes I should go out and buy a new printer. Sorry too broke at the moment.
and yes I fan the paper dosnt help it needs new paper feed rollers. Laserjet 6lsi very comon problem with the printer.

First of all I concide that I am altering the style of the story.
Not the content. my goal is not to save space on my computer.
I have over 200 gb left free on my drive array.
My goal is not to wast paper and toner by printing out 8 storys at a time off the site to the tune of 170 pages.
When I can print out the same 8 storys in about 60 page's.

Also I do not delete the storys they are still in the orginal file format as the auther subbmited.
It is only the printed output that I change so I can read the storys. So I can get my fix on capturing carol / spread em and the like.

I was just posting to see what other's may be doing,
I hope they are not just reading off the screen. That will give you a headache real fast.
