if you were to use the old lead solder, and flux. But the new stuff that is used on todays water pipes would work. The flux stil has some lead in it but most of that is burned away in the soldering and what little remains can be whipped away after your though. also you don't put the part of the ring that was soldered thogh the hole of the pircing, and than doing the soldering of a ring is done on a pircing after the pircing has healed. so if the solded end does tuch the skin nothing shood happen, unles you have an alergy.
