There have been no reported cases of Toxic Shock Syndrome for Instead users, and it's made of soft plastic, so no latex allergies. And you can have sex with it in, without making a mess! It's quite nice. I've been a convert for almost a year now, and it's great. The only drawbacks I've seen so far is that it's kind of gross when you're changing it, and that you can't tell in advance when you're about to 'spring a leak'. Other than that, it's great.
