Dear Millie,
You over-generalize about men, having perhaps spent too much time with agricultural researchers. Of course the story line of the movie is of interest to us.

To All Who Read This:
Here, (i. e., in the movie "Secretary) the story concerns a woman who has a powerful desire for a spanking; in fact, for an endless series of them, on demand. Eventually she approximately fulfills that desire.
What intrigues me is that she focuses on that desire only after being spanked. Beforehand, she has only an unfocused desire to sacrifice herself in order to improve the emotional climate around her. I find her unfocused yearning more interesting, because more subtle and more primal, than her later focus.
A research question for women: What is or was the duration and quality of your initial, perhaps unfocused, desire to serve a dominant man? At what age did it develop, and under what emotional condition or climate? How frequently was it felt, and of what power did it consist, before any event served to focus it on a particular activity?
Please respond either publicly here or to me by private message. Be assured that I will not disclose any specific correspondent's private replies, but will instead review them as a whole to identify trends which are either congruent to or contradicted by the movie.
I look forward to your cooperation regarding this interesting topic, in the furtherance of our art.
