I am new to bdsm in general (in fact have never done anything along the lines) but I fantasize frequently. The problem is (and I'm having an extremely difficult time with this) I'm a guy and since I'm straight it's hard for me to imagine being appealling at all in this way to someone else. I somehow don't really believe that anyone would want to play with me, it only seems sexy to submit if you're a woman but not if you're a man. This is especially true because my secret desire is anal...and I feel like nobody could possibly want to do that to me...

Anyway, I would love to hear thoughts from other people about this. Does anyone else share my insecurities? Are there any women who can confirm that, indeed, they are interested in anal play and I'm being naive?

Most of the guys I've known have been open and interested in anal- it's really not as abnormal as people make it out to be. I've helped out partners in the past in this area and never minded at all.

the good thing about BDSMers is that 99.9% of them are open minded. Like gothichippiechick said, there are guys out there that like anal, yes some of them are straight but still like anal. Me on the one hand i hate it, its not a hard limit but a limit at least.
To me it seems like you have self confidence issues (who doesnt!?). Try not to think that NO ONE would want to play with you, there is someone out there for everyone, seriously. You may not find them right now, or tomorrow but you will find them one day. Try to really work on yourself, and be more positive. (i should take my own advice)
