Rosanna, you could call it a foot rest, Its angled at about 45 degrees and is slippery. It does give some support but not alot which adds to the struggle and makes your legs work and that's what its all about.

Thank you Rosanna. I had orriginally designed the cross to be free standing, but due to the internal make up of the wood. I had to attatch it to a beam in my dungeon (attic) to provide stability.
