I think that the fact that people think of Senator Clinton as a "nutcracker" reveals a lot more about their own castration anxiety than it does about her. Seeing stuff like that makes me feel bad for all the naturally dominant women out there who have to put up with such a strong negative bias from mainstream society... and it also makes me wonder if the guys who come up with that kind of joke are secretly fascinated by the idea of a woman who can really take control. Sort of like all the homophobic politicians and clergyman with their secret gay lovers.
