What's in it for you?

I thought that would be a good question to ask, since I am sure we are all "into" BDSM for different reasons.

I have been "into" pain, ever since I was a little girl. It sexually excited me, even before I realized what "sexual excitement" was. As I grew older, I knew I needed to be more disciplined about it. I also knew that it was a way to unlock many doors. Not just sexually but spiritually, as well. It isn't "just sex" for me. It wasn't in the beginning. It isn't now. Though, somewhere in the middle I did get lost in the sex, I admit. For me, it is a way to safely experiment and experience my limits as a human being. Or, perhaps, my limitlessness.

So, what's in it for you?

Peace of mind. A feeling that life is simple and uncomplicated. I function better. I can concentrate on my job better. Things are just clearer.

That's what I get out of it. Why? Haven't quite figured that out yet.
