So, this is one that came out of my desire to say screw it and get my feet wet within the BDSM lifestyle. As this is a BDSM forum, I would greatly appreciate any feedback, as this truly comes from deep within me.

CROSSROAD
I stand at a crossroad
In the twisted path called life
A decision must be made
That could end in happiness or strife
The paths look somewhat similar
The surfaces both bright
But under one lies
The truth and hidden light
These are never easy choices
Nor are they blind stabs in the dark
So with all forces considered
I lean heavy on my heart
Truest in emotion
Sometimes slightly blind
Always striving for
The best there was to find
Under my heart's direction
Footsteps echo through the wood
Never looking back
To where I once stood
With sunshine up ahead of me
All shadows in the past
Inside always hoping
Fair weather really lasts
But if stormy skies should gather
To put me to the test
My spirits will never falter
As I have an advantage o'er the rest
I have learned from every choice I made
And from all whose paths I croseed
The knowledge I've attained
Should never be knowledge lost
With my confidence reassured
My judgements standing strong
My choices may be different
But not a single one was wrong

Medic this is really quite nice. There are a few points where either the tempo or the scansion falters just a bit and throws the rythmn off. All in all I like it very much and I think, with just a bit of tinkering, this work can really take off and soar.
