It only took one word from you
And it shot through me like a bullet
If your bulls eye was the center of my heart
Then your trigger finger was on target when you pulled it.

I couldn’t close my eyes or look away
I watched it as it pierced through my chest
It was something I had to see to believe
And the pain made me lose my breath.

Then I felt the distress inside my body
As it tore through everything keeping my alive
My whole world stood still as I arched my back
I felt it rip out of me through the other side.

I am not sure where the bullet landed
But I know my body hit the ground
I laid there twitching in a pool of my own blood
My vision distorted and I felt everything crash down.

Your footsteps faded as you left the room
You left me there to drowned in pain
I always said I would die for you
But I never meant it this way.

You closed the door, I gave up on my life
It was a choice I didn’t make
I had given everything to you
And you promised to keep me safe.

I guess I was blinded by the love I felt
Maybe I should have been more prepared
But all the lessons I have learned from this don’t matter
Everything has ended and my life is no longer there.

I hope when someone finds my body
They will take time to wonder why
It was the only questions running through my head
As I saw my life flash by.

I hope they close my eye lids
Wipe the tears of blood from off my cheeks
Whisper a soft prayer up to heaven
My last rights of passage so I may peacefully sleep.

Ok, so yea, I finally re read this and wow do I suck at spelling lol omg. I am sure it is easy to figure out where to replace the word 'my' with 'me' and just try to look past the rest. damn meeeeee

Truly didn't notice that at all when I read your words. The meaning behind them was too powerful to be looking for mistakes. I thought it was absolutely great.
