    Unhappy Maybe Tomorrow

This isn't really very poemish but oh well....

My first thought and my last
    My triumphs and tragities
    the laughs and the tears
the pleasures and pains of life

    Years have passed
    Others have come and gone.
But you are ever in my heart and mind.

I lay in bed at night wishing
    Wishing you were with me.
    And even though your not
    I tell you everything.

    I wake every morning expecting
Expecting to feel the rise and fall of your chest
Only to find myself cold and alone.

    You were the first.
You were supposed to be the last.
But your gone and the details are fading.

    One day I'll wake up
    not thinking of you.
I'll go to sleep without thinking
of everything I'd tell you if you were here.

    Someday soon I'll move on.
    Maybe Tomorrow;
    Just not today.
Are you happy today? Or are you just existing?

Life is better with ice cream.

"lifes a virgin. a bitch is to easy."

Your poem say a lot about how many feel, I'm sure. It was very well done.

Very moving, this brought back to me a very painful loss I suffered some years back - it is so hard while you're going through loss, but you do come out the other end. Eventually the memory becomes a smile rather than a stab. (Although some unexpected things will bring it the fore sometimes, like this poem has done for me.) Trite but true, time is a healer. And never be afraid to seek the support of friends. I'm sure everyone here helps. Thank you for sharing this, and please - it was perfectly poem-ish! I hope you share some more.

This is a very good poem, but I didn't respond right away because it hit a bit closer to home than I was comfortable with. But it is good work and worthy of praise.
Mit diesem Herz hab ich die Macht
    die Augenlider zu erpressen
ich singe bis der Tag erwacht
    ein heller Schein am Firmament
    Mein Herz brennt

DemonGoddess... good poetry makes you feel, think, wish, wonder, hope... feel emotions so deep and meaningful that they are often beyond our comprehension. Your poem is wonderful...

    Ditto, Timberwolf.
    ...we can be forgiven...
