Another newbie

I'm new to the site and honestly pretty new to bondage. I didn't even know I was interested in it until a few months ago when I met and fell in love with a man who is into it. At first I was put off (probably because of my upbringing) but at the same time intrigued. Now, I want more and he 's afraid I'm like someone from his past who faked an interest just to get f****d. How do I convince him I'm not her? Every other part of our life together is going smoothly. And we are very much in love and plan to be married.

The only way to convince him, imo, is by not trying to convince him, but just being yourself. Words often don't inspire trust, actions do.
So, ask questions about it.
Read about it.
Ask about his experiences and likes/dislikes.
Share new and exciting information regarding this with him.
If you immerse yourself in this new interest he will notice the sincerity of it and respond.

New things in this world often has that same push / pull effect, I found. But if you stay open-minded and safe, you can really start to explore all aspects of your heart and mind.
