    Saline injections

My boyfriend recently came across a video of a woman's breasts being inflated with saline using IV needles. We've discussed the possibility of playing with saline injections, but haven't found much specific 'how to' guidelines on the web. We already play with needles, but would like to know more about the nuts and bolts of getting the saline in the right spots - and not in the wrong ones. Also, we're wondering about medical issues or cautions. Of course, I'm also interested in knowing what the experience of getting saline injected into part of your body is like for those of you who are experienced.

Any information, links or suggestions will be appreciated.

    Thanks!

Well, i'm trying to think hard....This is one of the things i guess i won't ever get because i am in nursing school, i have worked on a surgical unit where like any other unit worked with ivs and fluid runts. So pumping something into my body that my body doesn't need just makes my mind go, what?

But i do understand that there are somethings out there that i wont get but are a shit load of fun. my suggestion is go to a medical friend and ask them causally about it. There are a few people on this site (i hope they're still here) that know alot about medical facts that are good to know. But my biggest warning is don't ever do something just because it was on a website. i go for in person classes/facts/face to face learning.

Off hand i cant think of any harm it is to inject NSS into. . .the BIGGEST caution would be to watch for fuild over load. that can cause serious problems. As to how much fluid to equal fluid over load i don't know off hand and i do believe it has a lot to do with the body.

There are prob a who bunch of things to consider when doing this sort of play, why i suggest first going to a medical person, or someone who has a solid back ground in the medical field (and you trust them).

    Good luck.

In addition to the concerns above, I would say also to be very careful about the stocks of saline you use and the needles you use. Make sure they are freshly opened, unused syringe needles (you probably already do this as you do needle play but I can't leave it unsaid just in case you don't or someone else reads this thread). The biggest risk is infection. Especially make sure that the sterile medical saline you use is in date and the package undamaged.

I would also do a check and make sure that the video was a genuine scene and not faked up with special effects. I have not heard of this before (though I have heard of inflating the penis... so it is not beyond possibility) so it may just be a fantasy made real by the magic of special effects.

Ive heard of this. People do indeed do fluid injections of breasts, penises, labia and balls. I've even seen a video of a guy who did his forehead.

Most of my knowledge if from men who inject there balls. It seems that some can take great amounts of injection and not worry about fluid overload. It takes hours to reabsorb at a slow rate. Were talking 4-8 hours. All the same I probably would not go over 2 cups total since ive never seen anyone else go over that. The point of the saline injection is to get it under the skin. Especially in the breast area you do not want to pump the saline into the ducts. It only goes under the skin.

I dont have any idea what it feels like but the people describe it as being similar to using a pump like for example on the labia. The tightness and sensitivity. The heaviness and squishiness.

As for equipment there are body mod shops that sell I.V. kits for this purpose.

Also to echo what was said above. Be sure the needles are new and clean, the area sterilized, gloves being worn, and saline from a good source.

Another risk from repeated sub cutaneous (sc) injections (i.e any injection into the fatty tissue under the skin which does not go into either a vein - iv - or muscle - im) are lumps of scar tissue which can accumulate with time. These can be painful and disfiguring. As far as I am aware, they only really occur in cases where you are being injected more than once a day, every day but it is best to be careful. I have them all over my thighs and stomach (not so much in the arms) and have been told that the only way to get rid of them is to not inject in that location for at least 6 months (practically impossible for me as a diabetic...) so that the damaged tissue can be repaired. You are more likely to get them if you are clumsy with the needle.

One sign that you have this is when a particular, favoured location for injecting into becomes less painful to inject into and there is a definte lump under the skin. Though, on the breast, you have to be careful you are not mistaking this for something more sinister (get any lump checked out by a doctor).
