Foolish Indeed

something my head needed to get out today......

Foolish Indeed.

The thought arose which I had let knowingly
slide into my unconscious as a dream ..
To much a dream to become reality..
The dream slowly faded from thought..

But somehow the dream approached as a feather upon the wind.
I felt it’s light caress.. It’s kiss of promise and more ..
Then it carried me up with it upwards exuberance,
intense elation was but a brief moment in time.

Then reality came crashing down as the winds of the feather
Became energyless… not enough to support the feather in it’s flight.
I held on to the feather as it spiraled to the ground below..
Glad of what would happen once I hit there.

But as dreams always have a way of doing,
The end of it was not as one would think,
The end was actually the feather crashing me into the ground at light speed,
a tangle of feather and flesh lay in ruin.

Foolish thought to become dream and then
to think to strive to become reality.

Foolish indeed.
