During a chat tonight (1/2/12) a discussion of erotic books in the BDSM theme came up. So if you have a good novel, full of BDSM, erotic or just plain sexy. Please share.

Here are a few of my favorites:
1) Erotic Weekend, Cheyenne McCray,
Andi Kelly goes to BDSM Retreat a weekend all about, being dominated, letting someone be in control. But she would still be in control. No strings, no attachments. Mindbending sex.

2) Saddle Broke, Darah Lace... This story is HOT HOT HOT!
Lindsey has always wanted Clay. She knows his secret and she wants to be a part of it.

3) Maid for Master, Nina Pierce
Young Dom wants older new sub. Fun story, set at XTC resort only for BDSM.

4) Finders, Keepers by Jaime Samm, M/M but really great.
This one has bondage as the main kink. It has a great story. Someone is tying up male subs and leaving them to die.

The Story of O, a classic, but I just finally read it last month.

I haven't read that one. I'm putting on my TBR (to be read) list.

No doubt that the "Story of O" is classic erotica, as it was originally written and published in 1954 by French author Anne Desclos under the pen name Pauline Reage.It took almost 40 years for the fact that Desclos had written this classic to be revealed,as most assumed this work had been written by a male author ,based on the default mentality in the publishing world being that females could not write erotica.This ground breaking novel inspired lots of controversy over the decades following the first publication in the mid-50's and inspired a 1975 movie of the same name. Do not cheat yourself by seeing this original movie before reading the novel,as like most novel based movies,much of the novel is left out of the movie in the interest of movie run time.

Here is another novel that was a real groundbreaker="Nine and a Half Weeks:A Memoir of A Love Affair" by Elizabeth Mc Neill.Yes there was a movie made based on this novel,but again read the novel before you see the movie!

A Man and a Maid (three volumes) - 19th Century London. All the women in his life, how he captures them and turns them into his playthings. It's heavy on bondage and furniture converted into capture/bondage devices.

^Is that hard to find, Oz? We special ordered The Story of O, which turned into a whole story in itself.

Actually, I perfer books. Movies are fun, but they don't always do justice to the story or even get it right.

You never can tell. Depends on the local bookstore manager.
B&N may have it, or a one-off store if they have an erotica section.

Yes ,"A Man With A Maid" by Anonymoous is available in e-book format on Amazon (Kindle) and also on iBook for those that have compatible iPads and iPods.The story also appears in a number of compendium books,i.e. these books comprised of a collection of stories from the Victorian era.One has do a bit of searching on these respective websites to find this story in these various compendiums.

Reading this one,I was somewhat reminded of Arthur Conan Doyle;s writings about Sherlock Holmes and Dr.Watson,as this series of stories took place in the relatively the same setting and era as this "A Man With A Maid".

I'm currently reading the Beauty series by Anne Rice. It is a series of 3 books. I just started the second one. So far it can be recommended.
Very, HOT. Very erotic.

Sleeping Beauty is ......kissed(*wink) by the Prince, wakes up and finds herself His slave.....

The novels by LAURA REESE. Can't recall titles but there are at least 2 of them> Very much BDSM with torture, beasteality, & women in horrible agony. Been out about 6 yrs I guess. Hard to find now but very good read, esp if you read them naked!

Carrie's Story by Molly Weatherfield was really good, although I wish she hadn't glossed over the training portion quite so quickly. About a woman's first BDSM relationship; has bondage, impact play, even some pony play and a slave auction. It has a sequel, but I haven't read that one yet.

I also just started reading the Beauty series, but although it is erotic, I am constantly bothered by her lack of any sort of personality. Probably intentional to mimic the fairy tale, but still, it has a hard time holding my interest. It was amusing how she was "kissed" awake, as you say.

If you like The Beauty series by Anne Rice,you may want to take a look at another novel of hers,titled "Exit To Eden" which Rice wrote under her Anne Rampling pseudonym.
This novel set in a more contemporary time than the Beauty triology,as it details the adventures of various characters at an exclusive BDSM island resort.

There was a movie that resulted from this novel by the same name,but the movie was written as a more of a thriller comedy and departed so widely from Rice's intent,that she reportedly dissociated herself from this screen version.Read the novel,but avoid the movie,unless you are a devoted fan of Dana Delany ,Dan Aykroyd or Rosie O' Donnell.

it also bothered me a bit in the first book that she was almost without will. In the second one, however, there is more honest emotion. And her relationship with the Captain of the Guard is really beautifully intense.

Capturing Caseys Heart and Tied and Tempting by maggie casper are both two of my favorite bdsm romances with very very hot scenes and the men in them are too yummy :)
I definitely reccomend most of her books for a quick steamy read .

ksst-You know, I always knew something was missing from the Beauty books, but could never put my finger on it. There are some scenes/situations that I found really hot, but you're right, there isn't much of her to submit, is there?

Fantazmaster--I saw the Exit to Edin movie before I knew about the book, and thought is was kind of cute--funny, but not real BDSM. But I'd forgotten since then-Dana Delaney is pretty hot as the Domme in it. You can imagine how shocked I was when I read the book years later. Not, "Oh, that's disgusting shocked," or I wouldn't be on this site, but more, "How did they get that movie out of this book?' and, "Wow, that's pretty hot. Shame that wasn't the movie they made."

Something I thought I would share with all, in case you don't know: there is a publisher called Ellora's Cave that publishes what they call "Romantica," sort of romance novels with graphic sex scenes. They separate/label them by what's in them, and do lots of sub-genres: paranormal, fantasy, historical, and even some BDSM/ bondage. The cool thing is, the offer some free e-books and (mostly) short stories, so you can try an author without risking anything but a little storage space. I was able to download my stuff as .pdf files, so I could read them even though I don't have an iPad, a Kindle, or a smartphone. This month, they are introducing a line for men, intending to be more visual and such for them/you guys. I don't know how well they will do with the men's books, but some of the shorts I've read from the women's section so far weren't too bad. They also sell books, of course, in about 5 ebook formats and in traditional paper. Check it out.

I havne't found book 3, but I wouldn't look for it, because in my personal opinion book 2 is a long step down. (I guess it was written by someone else to cash in on the first.) The first starts with capture and non-con but develops a loving relationship between the Dom and his first victim. (OK, that happens to be my favourite scenario.) The second is themed around the right of stepfathers and fathers to sexually enslave their daughters, and all the victims are pubescent virgins. If that's your thing...

I'm just reading this now. (I almost passed it by because I assumed it was the book of the film, I'm glad I checked!) Like "Story of O" (which she repeatedly references) it's noteworthy for having brought ideas into the quality mainstream that were previously only found in pulp porn; consequently I have to keep remembering that what sound like cliches were new when it was written! In particular, it's obvious that Laura Antoniou writes in what's essentially the same universe: I won't say she copied it, rather that both of them were using ideas that were in the wind at the time.

It's not bad (and deserves kudos for making the subject less threatening for Muggles,) but gets ludicrous at times for its efforts to (as they say on TV Tropes) get stuff past the radar. thir and I fell about laughing at the scene where the novice slaves kneel and ceremoniously kiss the Domme's knee.

Agreed, the second and perhaps the third are as disappointing as Phantom Menace was viss-a-vis Star Wars. We watched because of the dearth of anything better... at that time.

As far as the second's theme, whether or not I enjoy reading such, it's far more English than US American lol. We make the cut-off at 18. Last I looked you all do so at 16. And let's face it, the age of consent was initially about not making children work in the industrial age factories. But before that no one objected to hard child labor on the family farm nor getting another man to care for the girls as soon as they could bear children. ;^D

The Marketplace is a series of 5 books (6th might be out by now but I'm not sure). Slaves and trainers and owners and ....mmmm....lovely!

Thanks for the reply Dog's Lady,One thing I will point out is that even if one does not have a Kindle,one can always download the Kindle application for PC on the Amazon website and enjoy these Kindle format e-books via this application.For those who are not familiar with .pdf formatted files,these .pdf files require one to download the Abobe Acrobat Reader application in order to read these particular files,Both of these applications are free downloads and will certainly expand one's options in easily obtaining reading material of all types,including the sort of books suggested here in this forum.

Also one feature on Amazon that I out to good use is that of the reader's reviews for the book offerings on Amazon.These reviews,especially from those that show the indication that they have actually purchased a particular book,are from the folks that have actually read a particular work and quite often give some compelling insights as to what tthey liked or disliked in a particular book.Part II here is that Amazon will show similar books to the reviewed work and quite often one has a chance to see a particular author featured on an author's page.Here on this author's page one can get a brief bio of the author and also see what other books a particular author has written.

No,I do not work for nor am I an investor in Amazon,com,I am just trying to impart some of my trade craft in obtaining readings that are well above those books which are above the theme of the "pulps".

I really like plain old paper books :)
The Marketplace has been recommended to me before- I'll have to try that one as well as the Man and Maid.

Last night a friend gave me The Story of O movie, so that is on my list of things to watch :)
