Passing
The air that I breath the sky the tides and sea
Unblinking, tearless eyes staring cold as silence
I inhale deeply allowing life to wash over me
Alone with my thoughts, dreams and despair
Wistful recollections, of expectations deceased
Silently I mourn, the passing of my being
Soon to be forgotten, my memory fading
Autumn leaves falling, summers sun no more
At worlds end, sunset calling, my time is now
My soul but a breath on the winter’s breeze
Lingering as it caresses the leafless grey trees
