Demons race around my head
Creeping in the dark
Hiding in the shadows
Trying to make their mark
Damaging my psyche
Burrowing deep inside
With twisted fingers they reach
And bring the doubts alive
Making me feel small
All alone with my fear
I tremble and I shake
I slowly disappear
With demon mouths they feed
On the despair in my soul
Tormented and scared
They have taken my control
Under their gaze I wither
Eyes piercing, dark and cold
Cruelness surrounds them
And promises pain untold
They hold me captive
In a place where I can’t see
Their cloaks are the bars
That is a prison to me
Aching in the dark
I become an empty shell
Losing what is left of me
Inside my own private hell
